document-save.png Download Maven

maven-logo-black-on-white.png Maven is a program that handles jar-files for you. An example of Maven usage is that if your program needs to have a database connection that requires you to download a jar file you can just let Maven do the job for you. Then you dont have to search the internet for the correct jar file.

Installation of Maven on Windows

Step 1 - Install Maven

Go to Maven website and download latest Apache Maven Binary zip archive. I downloaded apache-maven-3.5.3-bin.zip.

Extract the zipped folder.

Rename the extracted folder from apache-maven-3.5.3 to apache-maven.

Copy the new folder apache-maven to C:\Program Files\apache-maven.
